Who's in Control

     When Trump and Biden were running for the 2021-24 presidency, I had a dream.  In my dream a donkey pulled and tugged with all his might to pull an elephant from the creek behind my house. The more the elephant struggled the further into the creek he fell.  With stubborn determination, the donkey refused to give up until finally they both were exhausted and out of breath laying on the bank. Later that year when my daughter and I were discussing politics I told her the Democratics would win the election.  Out of curiosity she wanted to know my reasoning.  After I explained my dream, she understood. Trump had just finished his first term in office, and a lot of people expected him to win however not according to my dream.         

Who's in Control

Does it really matter who's in control of a country?

If you think not, remember what happened in Germany.

God foresees what happens here on earth.

 He knows who will be in control from their birth. 

A leader does not win an election on his own.

Always the deciding factor sits on His throne. 

Take comfort in knowing nothing is done by chance.

A Higher Power is in control of each and every circumstance.

The Westbrook Clan      Volunteer work can give a person a since of purpose.  Maybe that's why I signed up to be a Candy Striper at a local hospital.  When a patient asked me my reason for being there, the answer was easy.  I said, "To help people."  Yes, I could deliver juice to patients and help in other ways. One day I saw a nurse coming toward me in the hall carrying something in her hand.  She motioned for me to follow her.  After we went into a nearby room, she began unwrapping a tiny, aborted baby.  It was fully developed and looked like a little doll. The Love Letter

Pat Lawson Westbrook      Fourteen is an early age to agree to get married.  Even so, I agreed to marry my sixteen-year-old boyfriend.  As the year rocked on, my personality changed dramatically.  I wasn't the same happy, fun-loving person. By the time summer came along, I let him know I had changed my mind. Almost instantly, I became my old self. He even told me how I seemed different. When his family moved to Louisiana, we wrote each other often.  When I got a letter from him, I would put it in a wooden box and lock it.  One day I realized someone had been picking the lock and reading his letters. To let the person who was doing such a thing know I was on to them, I put a note in the box that read ha-ha no letters today. Beyond the Universe

     During one of my ACOA (Adult Children of Alcoholics) meetings, the leader said, "I want each of you to get a stuffed animal and hug it at least once a day."      That's exactly what I did.  When my grandchildren came to visit, I introduced them and said, "This is Couch Dog.  He lives on the couch and he's not to be taken off.  You can hug and love him all you want."  Today I keep Couch Dog in my bedroom.  When I feel down all I have to do is look at him or pick him up to feel better.  It reminds me of the unconditional love my grandchildren showered on him.  It spills over to me.   Beyond the Universe There is a love beyond the universe. One that's special and can't be reversed. God gives it unconditional and free. It's been given to you and me He proved it by his Christmas gift.
